Nina Ivančić is a prominent Croatian painter known for her evolution from neo-expressionist beginnings to a refined visual language combining geometry, abstraction, and technical motifs such as ships and airplanes. Her work reflects a balance between emotional expression and formal control, often exploring the intersection of the mechanical and the poetic.
In 2025, a comprehensive monograph authored by Božo Majstorović was published, offering the first full overview of Ivančić’s artistic career. Spanning over 200 reproductions and 380 bilingual pages (Croatian/English), the monograph presents her diverse oeuvre—from early works in the 1980s to recent paintings — highlighting the consistency and depth of her visual research. The monograph followed a major retrospective at the Gallery of Fine Arts in Split in 2022.
